The successor to the Bugatti Veyron, Bugatti Chiron is expected to be the next fastest car in the world.
It is rumored that the Chiron:
- will be equipped with the heavily updated W-16 quad-turbocharged engine
- will have the power of about 1,500 horsepower
- will accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and accelerate from 0–300 km/h in 15 seconds.
- will have a top speed of 500km/h
The car will debut in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s rumored that Bugatti Chiron will debut with a targa top: semi-convertible car body style with a removable roof section and a full width roll bar behind the seats.
Some sources say that production will be limited to 500 units and 120 orders have already been placed. The Chiron is expected to be available in 2017 with a cost between $2.3 to $2.6 million USD.
The car is named in honor of, Monegasque driver, Louis Chiron.
