Ontario Grants Portal

Ontario Grants Portal provides information about Ontario Government grants and how to apply.

For many grants, the application period for 2016-17 will open in spring 2016-17.

The grants and funding programs are offered by the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade; Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport; the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario; and, selected grants from the Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs.

To help you, there are two tools that can be printed or read online:

  1. The Grants Ontario System – Registration Guide for Applicants
  2. Grants Ontario System – Reference Guide for Applicants

It is recommended that you open the Registration Guide and have it handy while creating your account and applying for a grant.

Here, how it works:

  1. The first step to apply for a grant is to create your ONe-key account and ID. There is a following warning on the site: “We strongly recommend that you create Account Recovery Info during this process in case you forget your log-in information. Administrators are unable to retrieve ONe-key IDs.”
  2. The next step is to request an Enrolment ID and PIN that will give you access to the Grants Ontario System.
  3. The last step is to login to the Grants Ontario System using your new ID and PIN to continue applying for a grant.
