Rural Economic Development (RED) Program

Funding institution: Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The Rural Economic Development program (RED) provides up to 50% funding support to projects in the food processing sector, community revitalization, and skills training, with a focus on job creation in rural Ontario.

Agricultural Adaptation Council

The Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) is a non-profit coalition of 66 Ontario agricultural, agri-food and rural organizations. The diverse membership of the AAC represents the agriculture and agri-food industry both regionally and by sector. The AAC was established by leaders from the agriculture and agri-food sector in 1995 to allocate federal and provincial government funding to support new and innovative projects to benefit the sector.
